2016

Yet another year issue with the creek and the lake....

This is the inflow running south to north at the bend of the creek

More sediment flowing to the lake

Just to add more problems it is not full of Frog-Bit which is an invasive aquatic plant. MNRF confirmed it and not association is looking into how to remove it.

Frog-Bit forms floating mass and the roots are shallow so its a surface plant. Residents lakefront have been gathering the mats as they enter the lake or at least getting what they can.

In the spring water enters the creek from the highway and this video is just prior to the new inflows and once they meet they create a whirlpool affect.

This is just prior to the first inflow. This rushing water flows west to east and the first inflow runs south to north hence the affect.

Yes you guessed it more sediment

Shoreline now

Not fit for residents or there pets

September 2016 we had Brittany from LSCRA come out and we sat to view pictures for 30 minutes so she had a vision prior to a walkabout. Now the creek south of the first inflow is dry at this time of year so we walked the creek bed and she showed me how this area the banks of the creek are slopped up ward from erosion which a natural type of creek bank. But when we looked at the banks near the 3 inflows it was clear that the banks are all undercut from the influx of water and the whirlpool current from this water. Pictures show the under cut banks
